Costume Hire caters exclusively for the film, commercials and photographic stills industries. Our clients are mainly wardrobe stylists and costume designers, who enjoy our relaxed environment which is uncluttered, well organised and easily accessible, with staff that is experienced and knowledgeable. With over 40,000 unique items, Costume Hire is one of South Africa's largest wardrobe hiring houses. Our broad range of stock covers many styles and eras, with particular attention paid to contemporary & high fashion, period & vintage, uniforms, colonial African, everyday wear, broken down & aged stock, and accessories... We also house the combined stock of Reza Levy, Wolfgang Ender, Cathy Kukard, Moira Meyer, Stefani Morland, Claudia Littlefield, Rae Donnelly and Ayesha Khatieb.

Every item is bar-coded and photographed, and our computer system immediately issues detailed receipts when hiring stock. We can provide thumbnail photo printouts of all your hired stock, useful for identifying items when doing returns.

Costume Hire offers a flexible and creative space, adaptable to suit your needs. Facilities include various fitting and presentation areas with plenty of natural light; well-equipped A-grade production spaces available to hire for film/commercial wardrobe/make-up departments on a weekly basis (from 8 to 350 sqm); self-contained Penthouse suite with deck for use as production space or fittings; laundry facilities; steamers/rails; and plenty of secure parking. In-house manufacturing and alterations are available on request.

Our operating hours are Mondays to Fridays, 08:30 - 17:30 and Saturday, 09:00 - 13:00. In addition we offer flexible hours for any style crisis!
